My journey began in middle school (CCNV, Harderwijk, The Netherlands, 2012–2016), where the magic of a 600-seat theater sparked my passion for live events. I spent more time behind the scenes than in the classroom, and it was there that I discovered my calling in event lighting, a passion that still drives my career today.

In 2016, I pursued formal education at the Herman Brood Academy in Utrecht, where I studied Stage & Studio Technology. I graduated in 2018 with in-depth technical knowledge of both live stages and studio environments, ready to take on the dynamic entertainment industry.

In 2015, I founded JTAV in Harderwijk, a company focused on environmental storytelling for the construction sector. I had the opportunity to work with top-tier clients like Boskalis, BAM Infra, and Rijkswaterstaat, creating time-lapses, drone imagery, and documentaries that showcased sustainability and innovation in action.

In 2019, my twin brother and I launched De Fabriek, a karting track and events hall in Harderwijk. Despite eventually selling the business in 2023 due to bureaucratic hurdles, De Fabriek still stands as a proud example of our entrepreneurial spirit.

In 2023, after selling De Fabriek, I returned to lighting full-time across Europe. With a solid background in event production, I began working freelance as a lighting technician and systems specialist. From festivals in the Netherlands to club shows in Spain and beyond, I’ve designed, built and operated lighting setups that bring each concept to life. I thrive on creating immersive, high-impact environments, blending technical possibilities with creative direction.

Today, I run multiple projects with a strong focus on quality and innovation.

JTAV now focuses entirely on live event lighting, where I create striking atmospheres for a wide range of events. With a hands-on approach and a sharp eye for detail, I stay dedicated to bringing clients’ ideas to life.

Outside of my professional work, I volunteer with Stichting Onkruid. A non-profit based in my hometown Harderwijk. We create high-production events in places where no one expects them. From forgotten industrial spaces to overlooked corners of the city, we turn unlikely locations into unforgettable experiences.
